The third day is completed and team has done a short, steep climb of about 4 hours. The rest of the day has been spent acclimatising to the new altitude and exploring the local surroundings. Camp tonight is at 4,290 meters. Only another 2 days and 1,600 meters to go

Second day is completed it's starting to get tougher. Some of the team are really feeling the altitude and only a slow walk is possible at times. Camp tonight is at 3,700 metres.  Everyone is still in good spirits and determined to power

The first day of climbing is completed and the team has done really well. The initial climb was through jungle which then changed to smaller trees and bushes. Everyone is coping well with the altitude so far and tonight will be spent at 2,800 metres. Early morning start

We've now landed in Kilimanjaro and we got a great view of the mountain sticking out of the clouds on the flight over. We've had a briefing with the organisers and everyone is excited but a bit nervous, as expected. A last kit check tonight and then we start the climb
